Claude (Billy Bob Thornton) and Ruby (Laura Dern) are a couple madly in love, a rarity these days. When Claude learns that his uncle Hazel (Jim Varney) has been arrested, he returns to his hometown of Little Rock to support him along with his family. As the scattered family comes together, it becomes clear that everyone is living in their own world, in their "own home." Soon, the film turns into a delicious mix of armed robbery, sex talk, chaos, and a mouth-watering meal that only Billy Bob Thornton can serve up.
